YIELD Program

Youth Investment for Employment and Leadership Development (YIELD)

Through engagement in Youth Investment for Employment and Leadership Development (YIELD), youth gained employment potential within an accommodating job market and advocated for enabling environment for sustainable employment.

To reach this objective, youth are engaged in different activities to increase their employment potential through building capacity in highly demanded skills (hard and soft skills), job market awareness, labor law, concept of CSR, business and human rights, social protection, business plan, social business initiatives (online and off line) as well as providing internship programs where youth can gain working experience, learn about working environment, and attitude of co-worker and employer.  They are also engaged in exercising their rights to promote enabling environment for sustainable employment through joining advocacy efforts with strategic partners and networks on relevant policies including minimum/living wage policy, labor laws, social protection etc.

The enabling environment for sustainable employment provides labors especially young labors with hope of job security or no job discrimination even though and the country faces chronic internal political conflict, and labor is busy with volunteer work for their society, affiliated with any political party or former political supporter/activist or social activist or human rights defender.

Most importantly this environment can also generate and maintain the spirit of young active citizenship that makes them feel socially and environmentally motivated to actively and meaningfully engaged in different aspects of social action. Secure livelihood of young active citizens and social activists is a vital foundation for keeping their social activism and commitment.
