Ms Kak Sokunthea, the Norton University student majoring in Development Economics, said that since she knew and started her voluntary work at YRDP by joining many program activities and courses of YRDP, she found out her changes both in knowledge and attitude in collaboration with voluntary work especially her accomplishment of personal development (PD) course. First of all, she found that she changed her attitudes after she participated in PD course because she has become an open-minded person and good communicator. Furthermore, she increased her encouragement as well as confidence to do something and more critically think, as she never experienced before. By that time, she dare not voluntarily do the presentation about anything and never kept in touch with news or analyzed them at all.

Recently, she realized she has started critically thinking over all of what she has seen and heard. She is satisfied to join the YRDP program activities. Secondly, she remarkably realized that her knowledge increased in community communication, working in groups, analyzing news, dialoguing with her friends to take part in community coordination, for a real example, she understands more about good governance with its components as well as the social accountability that she has got from volunteering in YLSA project of YRDP,  concepts that she could apply to her daily life and family. Finally, she has changed both her attitude and knowledge after participating in YRPD activities. She promised herself to use all of what she has known and learned from YRDP in the relationship with other youth, with her family, in her daily life, in the community and promised to be a more open-minded critical thinker.

She always came to mobilize her group members to raise any inactive or ignorant points in the group to solve. Her group meeting normally happened 3 to 4 time per months due to their members available. This was so important voluntary work even though they were busy in their universities but they spent their precious time to attend in the community work. Also, she was one of the active members who took care of their group vision, mission and activities.

Ms Sokunthea, attending in the meeting of the group of Young Leader for Social Accountability (YLSA), shared her deep concerns of the community where she took her field visit in Kampong Speu province.
