Mr. Mei Mom, the second year university student from the University of Chea Sim Kamchaymear, said "I have been affected by several problems in my society such as poor education, corruption, road accidents, poverty, especially occasional food shortages. These problems still exist in my society and many people have been suffering from them. This is a story that I can't forget in my life.

Therefore, I have an intention to set up an organization so that I will be able to serve poor people from poverty and illiteracy in order to build peace for my family, community and society. I have learnt many lessons from YRDP about communication and listening skills, constructive feedback, critical thinking skill and team work. I was very impressed with communication and critical thinking skills that enable me to be successful in my team work, study at school, and with other people.

Since I participated in Personal Development Course, I have personally changed and now I care of my own role in my family, society and surrounding environment. I helped my family by reducing my daily expenses, doing housework in my free time and trying hard to study to be a good role model in the family. Moreover, I shared with other people about consequences of deforestation and natural resource destruction in order for community people to help keep our environment clean and free from air pollution. As the result of 15-day training at YRDP, I was very inspired to set up a project that can create job opportunity for poor people and also inspired to strongly hold my goal live. Meanwhile, I would like to express great thanks to YRDP for its significant contribution to the development of Cambodia and the support of youth on personal development before they can help their family and society".

Mr. Mei Mom, concentrating in the discussion session of his Personal Development course, was sharing his past issues and proposing new topics to discuss and solve.

This was the reflecting activities of what he learned, understoond and curious while others in the same course proposing different factors.

He was attending the field practice with Muslim communities on purpose of learning the ways of different races speaking, living and communicating. Mr. Mei Mom gained open-sharing ideas with all people in the world even if they were different races but they were the same human-beings.

To be precisely understanding from his personal development course, his friends and him organized at field practice in the rubber field. All the youths who joined in the PD course were voluntarily shared and reflected what hey learned from the community.
