Ms Srun Bopha, second year student at Norton University majoring in General Management and Business, during her voluntary work at YRDP, she learnt much from YRDP based on the real field practice in Por Angkrang commune, Boseth district, Kampong Speu province after her training session. She feels that she changes her behaviors and attitudes because now she is aware of the living condition of the villagers and she asked herself “Why do the villagers live and behave like that?” during her community visits. She has known the ways to work in groups after she participated in YRDP’s courses like the course of Young Leader for Social Accountability (YLSA). Before stepping into YRDP, she was the one who thought only about herself, never took care of others especially she did not pay attention on what she was doing. She also discriminated against anyone whom she did not like and never talked to them.
However, she has improved a lot after she started learning the course at YRDP. She became another new person who takes care of others close to her and doesn’t discriminate anyone. She knows herself as the one of the people in the society that values herself and others. Coming back from the field visit and studying as the YLSA member, she, hereinafter, has social accountability because she wants to help herself and society, respect and like the villagers, she’s aware of ways to work in group, ways to respect and pity on each other, not mark any of the others’ mistakes but tries to persuade and give recommendations to them for the improved purposes. She shares her time to help others and also thanks the YRDP for providing her with the opportunity to directly visit the community.
Ms Srun Bopha with her volunteer youths conducted the weekly meetings after they accomplished field practice in Kampong Speu province. She was one of the group active members in the group of Young Leader for Social Accountability (YLSA).
She attended in the core group to make plans working and communicating with the communities especially the ways how to link the target networks.
