Today more than one third of the population of Cambodia is made of youth. In order to recognize and empower these young people to become informed and engaged citizens, YRDP has established a new radio program which provides youth with an independent platform to practice their civil and political rights. The program is youth-run and will mainly cover youth-related issues, addressing current social and political issues and trends.
Launched in December 2016, the “CamYouth Studio” is a joint venture of YRDP, Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO), Kdei Karuna (Kdk) and the Cambodian Human Rights Action Committee (CCHR). Its mission is to empower Cambodian youth, particularly university students and encourage them to speak out on their concerns, bringing them to the attention of the general public and policy makers.
