International Volunteer Day
Phnom Penh--The Youth Empowerment Unit (YEU) of YRDP with France Volontaires Association including Volontaire International de la Francophonie co-organized a full-day significant presentation about voluntary work inside and outside Cambodia on December 5, 2011 with 4 universities in Phnom Penh on purpose of providing Cambodian university youths with opportunity to be aware of the voluntary work to be able to find voluntary work at NGOs especially the Cambodian youths could be aware of possibilities of voluntary work outside Cambodia through Volontaire International de la Francophonie.
YRDP's and France Volontaires' staff conducted a presentation at 4 higher educational institutes such as Royal University of Phnom Penh (Institute of Foreign Languages)RUPP, Royal Administration Ecole (RAE), National Institute of Education (NIE) and Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE).
As the result after briefing presentations at 4 higher educational institutes, many university students were interested in the voluntary work especially this year, France Volontaires requires around 100 volunteer youths to work. Lastly, they proposed many curious questions to volunteer at YRDP that could bring them to meet experiences and being aware of different people in communities in Cambodia and other countries. This was happened after they just saw an evident video clip of the voluntary youth sharing his successful life from the voluntary work displayed by Ms Seap Sinet, the representer of YEU of YRDP.
"Why is the voluntary work mostly important for them? How to become volunteers?" said by the participants after the short presentations of YRDP's and France Volontaires' representatives.

In RUPP's conference hall, Ms Sinet, the representative from YRDP, presented briefly about voluntary work at YRDP where all Cambodian university students could meet and register for short course training.

In Meta House, France Volontaires' volunteers cooperated with YRDP conducted an evening sharing voluntary work.
