The Youth Resource Development Program (YRDP) is a leading youth organization in Cambodia, firmly established in the field of civic and peace educational and youth empowerment. Launched in 2016, CamYouth Studio has the mission to empower Cambodian youth, particularly university students and encourage them to speak out their concerns, bringing them to the attention of the general public and policy makers. For YRDPs weekly newly developed youth program we are looking for a part-time presenter to support our production team.

Main responsibilities

  • Actively participate in weekly editorial meetings to identify and shape topics for next radio show with production team and YRDP program staff
  • Prepare and research background information, relevant questions for discussion segment and biographies of invited speakers
  • Brief guest speakers and approve pre-recorded segments before the show
  • Facilitate the program and host expert discussion, ensure a good flow and interaction with audience within time schedule
  • Mentor assigned and assisting production volunteers

Main Qualifications

  • University education related to journalism OR practical trainings in field of radio/TV broadcasting
  • First experience as presenter, voice artist, speaker are an advantage
  • Minimum 1 year experience in journalism, preferable in radio or TV production
  • Proven interest in youth issues and awareness of social challenges affecting youth
  • Ability to analyze and comprehend new topics quickly, identifying crucial questions
  • Confident to facilitate critical discussions with experts, political representatives, youth and key actors in society
  • Encouraging, positive and fun personality with passion for youth issues and radio
  • Creative, open and curious mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, strong English in written and spoken word is an asset
  • Good team player who enjoys sharing knowledge and professional development of others
  • Agree to core values of the CamYouth Studio and YRDP
