Youth Engagement in Social Action Program (YES ACT)

Through Youth Engagement in Social Action (YES ACT), youth demonstrated policy influencing, and addressed country issues they are concerning about in promoting democratic governance and social development.

 

To reach this objective, the youth are motivated and given the opportunity to unlock their potential, sharpen their skills and knowledge, and exercise their civil and political rights to make a positive difference to others and society through taking a practical youth-led initiatives to address specific community issues, organizing and participating in policy advocacy related to youth issues/interest, and building and joining efforts with strategic partners and networks for serving public interest.

 

This process help youth feel valued, engaged and involved in their country and develop their character, confidence and physical and mental resilience. Their active social engagement can produce a greater sense of community and boost social cohesion and integration toward creating a critical mass of young active citizens influencing policy development and enforcement.
