At Youth Resource Development Program (YRDP), we are driven by a compelling vision of a Cambodia society where young people are empowered to exercise their civil and political rights as leaders for peaceful, equitable, and sustainable development in Cambodia.  

Since 1992, more than 95,000 youth (45% female) from 25 provinces and about 50 higher education institutes have participated in both national and regional YRDP activities. In 2023, YRDP engaged 127 youth volunteers to work with the community and directly engaged in YRDP programs/projects. Since then, there were volunteer youth clubs registered with MoI as NGOs: YFP, KYSD, WPM, KCD,  ED/CYA, YCHD, CSF, CCD and CYD.  

Many YRDP youth got jobs within CSOs, the private sector, governmental institutions, political parties and some have created their own business. Most of them remain YRDP’s values (Living in and outside the country) and some are taking concrete action as active citizens.  

In 2021-2026, YRDP planned to engaged around 35,000 young people (50% F) in YRDP activities and its networks 

To reach this vision, YRDP engage youth in the development of critical thinking skills, empower them to utilize their civic and political rights, and strengthen their social conscience for positive social action on behalf of their own future, family, community, and country. We believe that by investing in the potential of young minds, we can create lasting change that ripples through communities and paves the way for a brighter future.
