The YRDP Executive Committee manages the myriad of activities across all of YRDP. The committee indirectly reports to the YRDP Board of Directors and consists of the following members:

 

Mr. CHEANG Sokha

Mr. Cheang Sokha joined YRDP in 1999 and has been the organization’s Executive Director since 2003. His main responsibilities include YRDP’s effective and efficient management, ensuring its philosophy is adhered to, and that the program goals and objectives are achieved.

Mr. Sokha brings with him over two decades of relevant experience in education and training, as well as leadership and management as a former member of other NGOs’ Board of Directors. He has completed a Master of Educational Science, and is currently pursuing a Master of Developmental Studies. Additionally Mr. Sokha holds multiple education and training related certifications.

 

Mr. REAM Rothamony

Mr. Ream Rothamony has been working with YRDP since January 2009 as Deputy Director. In this position he is responsible for program management and human resource management. The Deputy Director plays an important role in directing the the day-to-day activities of the YRDP units and special projects.

Mr. Ream Rothamony's previous experience includes being one of four founding members of Cambodian NGO “Youth For Peace” in 1999; and working as a Peace Education Trainer, Administration and Finance Coordinator and Program and Human Resource Manager. He has studied Financial Management and Peace Studies.

 

Mrs. SOUN Sovanney

Mrs. Sovanney joined YRDP in 2010, and is leading the development and delivery efforts of YRDP’s training offerings as the organization’s Training Coordinator. Prior to her taking on the responsibilities of this leadership position, she worked as a trainer at YRDP for multiple years.

Mrs. Sovanney has over 30 years of teaching experience and holds a degree in Khmer Literature. Moreover, she has completed multiple professional training courses pertinent to her work at YRDP.


Ms. CHAN Ramy

Although Ms. Chan Ramy joined YRDP as a staff member in 2008, her affiliation with the organization dates back to 2006, when she became involved in YRDP activities as a volunteer. In her current position she is responsible for leading and coordinating all of YRDP’s extractive industries and climate change activities. These duties require extensive event planning and coordination, in an effort to raise awareness and societal involvement in Cambodia’s effort to harvest some of its natural resources.

Before joining YRDP, Ms. Ramy held multiple positions in private industry. Sheis currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration and holds multiple relevant certificates.

 

Mr. LY Bunthea

Mr. Ly Bunthea joined YRDP in 2007 and has been Youth Empowerment Officer since early 2011. Currently, he is responsible for facilitating Youth Engagement in Inter-Ethnic and History for Peace and Justice Project (YEIEHPJ) and assisting in managing YEU activities and staff based on yearly planning.

Before working with YRDP, he worked at Handicap International Belgium as field researcher Mr. Ly Bunthea completed a Bachelor in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology. He has developed specific skills in counseling through Marryknoll organization and proven knowledge in Khmer Rouge history through an inWent program in Germany.

 

Ms. SEAP Sinet

Ms. Seap Sinet has been working in the field of education since 2003 at a institute, international school, university, non-governmental organization both local and international as a teacher assistant, teacher of English, assistant to Dean of English and the Registrar, administrator. She currently is a Youth Empowerment Senior Assistant of Youth Resource Development Program (YDPD), where she displays her outstanding role to social development through her devotion time and spirit during her work. She is responsible for Volunteer Students Service Program to provide training, recruit potential volunteer to place different local and international organizations, UN agencies and affiliated institution as well as to work at YRDP offices and abroad. She also collaborates in joining national and regional activities such as a member of Youth Committee of Unity for Development (YCUD), focus on National Youth Policy, Volunteer for Cambodia (VolCam), focused on volunteerism to organize International Volunteer Day, Interface III-European volunteer, focused on exchange program between Cambodia-Europe, Youth Information Network (YIN), International Youth Day (IYD) and ASEAN Youth Forum (AYF), focused on organizing youth forum as a regional levels from ASEAN countries.

Sinet hold her Bachelor Degree in English in teaching in 2008. Nowadays she is a Master candidate in Public administration. She loves to work and learn new things with different groups of people as well as keen traveler and passions for foreign independent films.

 

Mr. OEUR Sawin

Mr. Oeur Sawin joined YRDP in 2011 to coordinate the organization’s publications and communication activities. In this role he primarily manages all organizational collateral, including the YRDP website, newsletter, annual report, and press releases.

Prior to joining YRDP, he held multiple graphic design, teaching English, and marketing research positions in the private sector. Mr. Sawin holds a Bachelor Degree in English Communication, and holds certificates of Graphic Design, Karaoke and Advertisement Sport Maker, Secretariate and Internet Application.

Mr. HONG Chivon

Mr. Hong Chivon joined YRDP in 2011 is responsible to Publication and Communication Assistant and responsible for Volunteers for Newsletters. He produces bi-monthly newsletter by revising and proofreading article written by volunteers, distributing bi-monnthly newsletter, managing PCU products, supervising volunteer group especially he collaborates with other units, participates in activities for improving the quality of the YRDP programs.

Prior to joining YRDP, he held a volunteer work for one year for YRDP. Mr. Chivon holds a Bachelor Degree in Teaching and has other vocational training certificates of Personal Development, Active Non-Violence, Conflict Resolution and Management, Democracy and Cambodian Government System, Young Leader for Social Accountability, Love and Marriage, How to get and create a Jobe and Advanced Personal Development.


Mrs. ONG Navy

Mrs. Ong Navy joined YRDP in 2009 as the head of the organization’s Finance and Administration unit. In this position she mainly serves in an accountant function by administering YRDP’s payroll, financial reporting, and budget monitoring.

Before coming to YRDP, she worked in a similar capacity for Cambodia’s Ministry of Environment, and Cambodia Utility. Mrs. Navy holds a Bachelor Degree in Finance and Economics, and a diploma in General Management.
