JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Project Senior Assistant

Youth Resource Development Program (YRDP) is a nonprofit and non-governmental youth organization founded in October 1992. YRDP aims to foster youth empowerment so that youth can become active members of civil society. YRDP is committed to providing non-formal education in critical and analytical thinking skills and building self-confidence by active social participation, for university students.

YRDP is seeking to recruit qualified candidates for the positions of Project Senior Assistant  for Youth Initiative on Extractive Industry Revenue Transparency. This position is based in Phnom Penh but required to travel occasionally to the provinces.

Main Responsibilities

  • To assist in organizing public forums, article competition, trainings, campaign and exchange program
  • To organize workshops, video program, youth dialogue meetings
  • To write report of meetings and project activities
  • To prepare budget for implementing some activities and clearance
  • To represent YRDP on the Extractive Industries and climate change issue at meetings  when needed
  • To share knowledge of Extractive Industries and climate change with the staff and students of YRDP

Requirements

  • Holding a degree of laws or economics
  • Willing to learn about the Extractive Industries and Climate Change Issue
  • Good communication  and organizational skills
  • Experience in facilitating and organizing public events
  • Computer skills ( Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Data Base)
  • Demonstrates a good attitude “Teamwork” is highly motivated to work directly with university youth.
  • Good English writing and speaking skills
  • Cambodian national

Consultant for Triennial Report 2009-2011

YRDP is a nonprofit and non-governmental youth organization founded in October 1992. YRDP aims to foster youth empowerment so that youth can become active members of civil society. YRDP is seeking for qualified consultant to develop "YRDP's Triennial Report 2009-2011".

General Objective   is to develop a professional (with good contents and attractive design) triennial report, covering the period from 1st January 2009 to 31st December 2011, with highlight of key achievement and impacts of the implementation of the YRDP Action Plan 2009-2011.

Qualification Requirement

  1. Degree in a education-related field, preferable at Master level or higher
  2. Proven experiences in report writing; knowledge of the youth organization
  3. At least eight years of experiences in education work, including experience in Cambodia
  4. At least five years experiences in youth resource development focusing on social conscience and critical and analytical thinking abilities
  5. Strongly understanding youth psychology and potential
  6. Excellent skills in listening , analysis and writing in English
